An Original One-of-a-Kind Creation
from Linda Smith

Description & Details
Have you ever been walking by a stream, saw something out of the corner of your eye, then suddenly hear a splash of water? It's possible that it could have been a little water nymph faerie, fluttering out from the waters to catch a glimpse of you!
This lovely little flying water faerie is a one-of-a-kind fairy sculpture, hand sculpted from polymer clay. She's fully sculpted in detail, all the way down to her fingers and fin! Her length is 8" in her stretched position, with a wing span of about 6". Her eyes are painted a lilac color in acrylics, and blushed with heat set oils. Her little scales and fin is also painted with heat set oils in a mauve pink, then highlighted with touches of gold. Her hair is of Angora mohair, which I hand prepared and dyed to a lovely pale shade of blond, then styled to frame her pretty little face. She has large beautiful hand-made faux Cicada fairy wings that shift colors from pinks to greens in the light. They are slightly flexible and are permanently secured to her.
As with each creation, this sculpture is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind piece, handsculpted without the use of molds, by artist Linda Smith. This sculpture is dated and signed with LS '08 just under the hairline, and comes complete with a signed photo certificate of authenticity. (02-23-08)
