This sweet little Fairy Child is a one-of-a-kind artist doll, created on a soft body with a sturdy wire armature. Her head, hands and feet are hand sculpted from polymer clay. This sweet little girl is self standing by an internal rod support sculpted within her leg, and stands at 9 1/2" tall (including her base). Her features are lightly painted with heat set oils and has hand painted eyes of sparkling blue. Her hair is a golden shade of blond, made of soft curly Angora mohair. She's fully dressed with her clothing of bright red florals, accented with a green leafy bodice, and ivory pantaloons. Her little faerie stockings are hand painted with lots of little red stripes to match her red petal dress. She's accented with berries in her hair, and is also holding one out to you as if she's inviting you to share one with her! And of course she's accented with lots glittery sparkles that make her shimmer and glow like many sweet fairies do! She has large handmade faux Cicada wings, which sparkle and shift colors in the light from hues of green. They are slightly flexible and are permanently secured to her. She comes with matching wood base accented with leafy greens and berries.

As with each creation, this sculpture is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind piece, handsculpted without the use of molds, by artist Linda Smith. This sculpture is dated and signed with LS '08 just under the hairline, and comes complete with a signed photo certificate of authenticity. (08-10-08)
