This sweet little berry gathering Faerie is a one-of-a-kind fairy sculpture, hand sculpted from polymer clay. She's fully sculpted in detail, all the way down to her fingers and toes! She's positioned on her knees at 3-1/2" (4" including her wings), if she were standing she would be about 6 1/2" tall. She carries in her right hand a green berry, with her little gathering basket at her side. Her features are lightly painted with blue eyes in acrylics, and blushed with heat set oils. Her hair is hand dyed and prepared blond mohair, styled with her hair pulled back on one side, allowing her little fairy ear to peek through. Her hair is accented with a little blue flower just above her ear. She wears scant little clothing made of leaves and blue flowers with lots of sparkle and color. She has handmade faux butterfly wings, which sparkle and shift colors in the light from hues of blue and green. They are slightly flexible and are permanently secured to her. And of course, since she's worked so diligently collecting her bowl of berries, they'll travel along with her to her new home.

As with each creation, this sculpture is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind piece, handsculpted without the use of molds, by artist Linda Smith. This sculpture is dated and signed with LS '08 just under the hairline, and comes complete with a signed photo certificate of authenticity. (06-10-08)
